The Green Ladder provides a fresh look into how the body of Christ can begin to walk in their God-given identity. When we learn to embrace all that Jesus provided for us, we learn to co-labor with God. Cultivating this Kingdom mindset helps to bring an ease and grace as we step into a Kingdom lifestyle that changes the world around us.

In this hour the Spirit of God is beckoning an entire generation to embrace a Kingdom gospel and a supernatural King. In his book, The Green Ladder, Steve Shaw describes three major paradigm shifts that are necessary prerequisites for the body of Christ to reach a place of maturity. If you’re tired of fake fruit and want a taste of a Christianity that’s real, this book is for you!

The Green Ladder may sound like an unpublished writing from Dr. Seuss, but is in fact packed with vital information concerning the Kingdom of God. For too long those who have failed to manifest any evidence of the King’s presence, power, or purity have held the term “kingdom” hostage. Steve Shaw puts the trumpet to his mouth and sounds the alarm, calling the Church to rise to her calling and destiny. While many in these days look for the coming of the Lord, few seem to be concerned with hastening His coming. “This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached…then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14 KJV). I don’t suggest you read this book because you will be held accountable on that great day. Instead, read it, absorb it, pray it, and practice it. Together, we can see His Kingdom come.

Steve Shaw is addressing a very crucial subject in this must-read book. This book is a God-given gift to the body of Christ, as there appears to either be a deficit of revelation on this topic, or of writers who are willing to write about it. If your prayer has been, “God, what do you think when you think of me?” then I both challenge and encourage you to read with a ready heart—ready for information, impartation, and transformation.

Relationships define our identities and destinies. The degree of influence and authority we have is based on the levels of relationship we have, first with God and then with one another, because the kingdom of God is built on relationships. Steve Shaw clearly lays out for us the importance of properly realigning ourselves with the presence and intended purposes of God. We often strive for what already belongs to us, thus trying to take by force what has been given by inheritance from our heavenly Father. Steve understands the importance that our destinations (destinies) are in the Father’s presence where our identities have been secured. I find this book a refreshing encouragement and challenge to contend for authenticity and genuineness in our Christian walk. Steve, in a provoking, yet pastoral and honest nudge, has directed the reader to a fresh revelation of personal and corporate possibilities when we co-labor with God.

Steve writes not from his head, though he is very intelligent, but from the heart of his experience in leading a group of Jesus followers into being the church that Jesus promised we could all be. The local church Steve has pastored for 34 years is living proof that what he says in his book works. We have ministered in hundreds of churches all over the world, and we can honestly say Steve’s is one of the minority we went into for the first time and found a majority of the people there actually living out the three paradigm shifts he so accurately describes. We believe the whole church, every believer, is mandated by God to be naturally supernatural, destroying the works of the devil and advancing the kingdom of God. And we believe The Green Ladder will give leaders what they need to move their people into that reality. We highly recommend this book for everyone who is hungering to see the “more” of Christianity they find in the Bible.

My heart resonated deeply with the message in The Green Ladder. The topics that Steve discusses are so much a part of my life message that I feel like we have been on a similar journey. I have fed myself from his material. He is a talented writer, and his book will generate an encouraging, spirited conversation that will sharpen the body of Christ. Every believer desperately needs to hear this message.
